Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI)

You will find information on how to make a complaint about broadcasts in the national, regional or local media which you consider to be offensive to minority ethnic groups on this page of the BAI website.

1) The first step is to complain directly to the relevant broadcaster if you are not happy about broadcasting content on that service.

You will find a list of the complaints sections of each broadcaster at this link:

http://www.bai.ie/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/20120831_Broadcaster_Codes_English_vFinal.pdf

Each broadcaster has its own Code of Practice and complaints form which can be accessed at the links above.

2) If you are not satisfied with the broadcaster's response to your complaint, or if there is no response within the specified period, you can then complain to the BAI.

You will find the Guide for Listeners & Viewers to the Complaints Process & the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland Updated August 2012 at this link:

You will find the form for referring a complaint to the BAI here.
