Exploring Africa
The Africa Centre is facilitating a four day ‘Exploring Africa’ course which is designed to equip participants with knowledge on Africa that they can use effectively as development educators, development workers and students. Listed below are the planned sessions: -

    • Africa’s Contribution to Human Civilisation
– Dr. Abdulahi El Tom
  • African Politics and Global Connection
– Dr. Khanyisela Moyo
  • Culture, Society and Stereotypes of Africa
– Dr. Sahr Yambasu Culture, Society
  • Stereotypes of Africa Irish Perspective
– Mr. Seamus Farrell
This course is open to all with an interest in Africa and those who wish to promote good practice in the use of balanced images and messages on Africa and Africans in Ireland. Individuals must also be able to commit to the full four days. ‘Exploring Africa’ is offered at a fee of €160 (non – members) and €145 (members).
